In the last episode, the dragons were blindsided by the scorpions out of nowhere. This time Danny knew exactly where they were and how they worked. Makes sense to me. Makes a heck of a lot more sense than no one seeing the huge ships with scorpions on them last episode, lol.

Also, I think this was the straw that broke the camel's back. That's why Danny snapped. She was stretching through the whole episode and finally just snapped by the time the bells rang.

To be fair to the Iron Fleet, it’s a lot easier to hit a dragon when you’re the ambusher, and not the ambushee. Sound tactical flying by Drogon and Dany to take out the Iron Fleet and the scorpions on the walls.

The only thing predictable about the episode is your reaction to it. Anyone that is mad at the series is because of the way the 3 episode went down. Because of that you disliked the rest of the season. It's ok but predictable.

I agree with you! I think Arya was looking at the white horse cuz she thought it was The Hounds, just a guess

              D&D messed it up, true
They destroyed the characters, true too

Daenerys going mad is okay but they should give this change of her mind a lot more episodes than those two.

And to Cersei's death: yeah, I wanted a brutal death for her, too. But during watching this scene I had the symbolical meaning in mind.
The red keep represented her power, and her system. She died under the throne room, crushed by rock from the red keep. So it came to my mind that her death shows herself that her system crumbles above her. She was killed by her own proud and way of life.

Maybe this thought makes her death a tiny bit better, or maybe not.

The whole downfall to the story lines for Thrones, is the shortened format for seasons 7 and 8.  The previous 6 seasons had a set formula of 1-6 episodes of build up to an episode 7-8 prelude to a climax at episode 9, and an episode 10 lead in to the next season...which usually left you hanging at a cliff for more for a year.  Early splashes and payoffs or lead in's in episodes 1-4, maybe an early payoff in episodes 4-6...The point being, you can't do all that build up stuff to any satisfying end, with a shortened season.  The past 2 seasons, particularly season 8 feel like watching an action movie in fast forward, with actors that don't speak English, so there's no point in even paying attention to the dialog.  You could probably turn  the voice off, just have the music playing, and get about the same amount of enjoyment, with the exception of a few, few choice moments.  And the lack of a battle strategy in episode 3 made me throw up a little in my mouth.  They were all wiped out, where did all these random soldiers come from?

Was Jamie just completely cool with the fact that Cersei sent Bronn to kill him?
If Bronn had carried out his orders, he and Tyrion would be dead. But yet he ran back to her and she fell apart? PAHLEASE.

Even if Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, who in their right mind would want another Targaryen to sit on the Iron Throne. The last Targaryen to sit on the Iron Throne was the Mad King, a full blown psychotic tyrant who enjoyed roasting people alive with wild fire. Now we have another Targaryen who has burned the people of King's Landing to death with Dragon fire. Are the people of Westeros really going to want another Targaryen any where near King's Landing?

It would've been so much better and cooler to see the Northmen following Jon's orders and trying to stop the Dothraki and Unsullied from killing the innocents or at least helping them make their way to safety. It would've shown a nice contrast between Dany's act of revenge at the time and Jon's cool-headed honorable way of acting.

The valonqar prophecy was _never_ a part of the show. The main part of the problem is fans of both book and show mixing the two and expecting payoffs from the book series. Watching 4 more episodes of Dany going insane would be maddening. This is GRRM's story and outline. I'm happy with the season so far and loved this episode. We are forgetting the story and getting wrapped up in character "arcs" and who the hero is.

Jamie died the way he always thought and said he would. In the arms of the woman he loves. Why would he kill the mother of his unborn child? We just watched a genocide play out on screen and the main thing we are bothered about is how Cersei died? Says more bout us than it does about the show. *Cheers*

Euron's inconsistency does make sense. The first time he had all the time in the world to aim since denerys wasn't looking down for quite a while, apparently. He also had the advantage of being able to fully see his target. In the second scene, he can't see her because she flew out of the sun. It's a brilliant strategy on her part and people seem to be missing the importance of it.

Jon was a bastard not too long ago. While he is loved in the North, not ALL of northern soldiers are necessarily loyal to Jon. To many of them Jon is not even a true Stark. Also quite a few of them would have been bannermen with the Boltons against the Starks that rejoined the Starks after the Boltons were defeated and Jon allowed them to return. These soldiers Jon had to fight might well be some of these men.

Season 8:  Four episodes fighting the Night King.  One episode fighting Cersei.  Five episodes watching Dany descend into madness until the people of Westeros finally stop her.  Ten episodes total.

I agree with most your points, except the Arya part, for her and the hound to have to reach Cersei to just then realize she should flee and she just accepting it so easy. The time they took talking Arya could have killed Cersei a la night king, she has waited all this goddamn show for that but she killed the night king instead. Arya was there only for us to see the carnage through her eyes, as now she is the main character of the show, that NPC was there for the same purpose. The hound just let Cersei pass for some reason, a Cersei that became a scared little girl at the end, you would think someone like her would have had a escape plan all along, but no. Also Jaime got in from the same caves that are blocked at the end, so Jaime could enter but they were all conveniently blocked when he came back, nice timing there rocks. The hound was supposed to face his fear of fire by pushing the mountain into it, but the way they did it looks like he didn't even knew there was a pool of fire down there. Maybe have him aknowledge he is about to burn to kill his brother or have him see the friking fire. What a mess these writers are a couple of hacks.

Edit: John Snow has become a secondary character this past couple of episodes. He may kill Danny next episode but maybe they will subvert our expectations by having Arya the main character of this show do it.

Why did the arrows miss this time when they tried to hit the dragon? Well I supposed this time it was flying faster because it was attacking.
Why did Cersei´s prophesy was not completed? I think prophesies are not always true, and it kept you guessing all this time.
Why did Dany go nuts? It is like in real life. Mass murderers usually show little to no signs of being able to commit such horrors. Hate makes you snap instantly, not progressively.
Why did the Night King got defeated so fast? Because he got cocky for one second and Arya took that chance to stab him. The entire episode the dead beated the living, but it took only one stab.
Why did Bran warp during the Battle for Winterfell? Because he can´t fight, the only thing he could do was to watch the battle from above.

The show is not going to be rewritten or relaunched, this is it and it is over. There are many things that could have been done better, probably since season 1, but we have to enjoy it as it is. I really hope the show is not ruined for most, as for me, I am waiting for next Sunday!

Sooo her advisors are the reason she wasn't crazy before? I don't remember her ever saying well yes we should burn all the innocent, even women and children to achieve our goal. She didn't care about her enemies but she always protected the weak and oppressed. When she saw the children killed and crucified she was pissed and when her dragons killed 1 kid she imprisoned them for 2 seasons. So please what are you talking about people? Hinting something is not the same as having a character arc explaining the reasons behind the character actions. This here is lazy writing.

The reference regarding a "pale horse and the rider sitting upon it is death and hell following with him". If that's true then maybe they were just hinting that Arya is going to kill Dany.

Is it Arya is it Dany? I don't know, and I'm getting to a point where I just don't care. I just want to watch the final episode so I have some sort of closure after investing years into this world. I think I will hold off on the prequels until they wrap, and only if I hear positive things. At this point I see the Long Night prequel as a cash grab by HBO - want your answers about the NK and WW? Ugh. Pay attention. Of course Dany is crazy. Those seeds have been planted since season 1. She said she must rule through fear. She said she will be the queen of Westeros, not just KL. Killing an army and Cersei is not going to instill fear in all 7 kingdoms. Razing an entire city WILL make all 7 kingdoms fall in line to avoid the same fate. Also, she honors Missandei's last words by lighting it all up. Oh, and she never learned from her mistakes- she just had people she sometimes listened to, but mostly just kept making mistakes. She is a terrible ruler- always has been.

The problem isn't that these are the wrong choices for the characters- they actually ARE, eventually. The problem is that they made the right choices happen too quickly. They needed these things to develop over at least another 10 episode season. But these characters were going to do these things. They just did them a bit too quickly, so people are freaking out. Well, people also freak out because they think they know everything about how they think the characters should be and forget, like, everything from the past 7 seasons. These arcs make sense- if they would have taken longer. They were meant to, obviously, but D&D didn't want to. That does suck. But the choices are justified and the characters are not ruined.

The prophecy in the show only included her dead kids, not the fact that her little brother would kill her. The symbolism of her death was cool, the two of them going out together, crushed by the weight of all their bad deeds. Awesome.

Everything feels rushed and out of left field. I think that they should have missandei and her other dragon die this last episode instead, and that in the heat of the moment is when she snaps. But how we got it it feels like is the bells that drive her crazy. This writers man.
